Cleveland Area LDA

A subset of the ATSI transmission zone near the Cleveland, Ohio area is a critical area for PJM system reliability in both operations and planning. PJM Operations maintains an IROL (Interconnected Reliability Operating Limit) on an interface of transmission facilities around the Cleveland, Ohio area. PJM Planning has identified the need to also establish this interface as a Locational Deliverability Area (LDA) in our planning process. This will allow PJM Planning to better identify and solve future reliability issues through our Regional Transmission Expansion Plan (RTEP) process. This change will also trigger a new LDA to be modeled in the RPM auctions.
