The PJM Symposium on Demand Response II held on May 12-13 attracted over 150 attendees in-person and via teleconference. Its purpose was to develop specific action strategies and identify champions for implementation of the Demand Response Roadmap, which was developed following the first PJM Symposium to guide coordinated retail and wholesale market development of demand response. The Roadmap identifies five key areas across both wholesale and retail markets for regional demand response; the challenge is to focus these key areas as a region, identify specific actions that need to be taken, and implement these actions.
Three key DR Roadmap topics were addressed:
- Data Management/AMI
- DR Customer Education and Training
- Coordination of DR with Planning and the RPM Auction Processes of the Wholesale Market
The agenda for this symposium and presentations made at the event are provided below for your review. In addition, upon completion a symposium proceedings document summarizing stakeholder discussions on this important topic will be posted on this Web site.
