Daily Real-Time LMP

As part of the implementation of the Five Minute Settlements initiative as mandated by FERC Order 825, this data is no longer available.

The 'summary.txt' file below contains hourly aggregate real-time locational marginal pricing (LMP) for the last 7 days.

The 'Date.csv' files contain hourly LMPs in Eastern Prevailing Time (EPT), for all PJM bus locations, including aggregates.

Load-weighted average transmission zone and residual aggregate prices are estimates only. Transmission zone prices and residual aggregate prices used in PJM accounting are not final until five PJM business days after the end of the month.

Monthly real-time and day-ahead LMPs are used for monthly billing.

Archived Notices

The Regulation Marginal Clearing Prices (RMCPs) for November 1st, 2017 are now finalized. The file “20171101.csv” has been updated with regulation prices. There are no changes to the originally posted real-time locational marginal prices and reserve market clearing prices. 

PJM is providing notice that the Regulation Marginal Clearing Prices (RMCPs) for November 1, 2017 have not yet been finalized due to a software issue and have therefore been omitted from the daily RT LMP file “20171101.csv”.  The remainder of the prices for November 1, 2017 (real-time locational marginal prices and reserve market clearing prices) are finalized as posted.

PJM is currently working to correct the software issue affecting the calculation of RMCPs and intends to post the finalized RMCPs within the next 24 hours.  A notice will be sent out when the RMCPs for November 1 are posted.  Please note that this issue also affects some of the RMCPs being posted in real-time for today, November 2, 2017.  Any incorrect prices for November 2 will be revised prior to posting the finalized daily RT LMP file for November 2 tomorrow morning.

PJM has reposted real-time LMPs for January 13th, January 14th, January 15th and January 16th of 2017. The new files are titled “20170113_updated.csv”, “20170114_updated.csv”, “20170115_updated.csv”, and “20170116_updated.csv”. Specifically, PJM corrected an issue related to marginal loss calculation for the listed below pnodes. Posting of the original files have been maintained as well:

Pursuant to section 1.10.8 (e) of Attachment K of the PJM Tariff and Schedule 1 of the Operating Agreement, PJM is providing notice that there was an issue with the posted Real-Time LMPs in hour-ending 9 on September 23rd, 2016. Specifically, PJM identified an issue with calculation of distribution factors for the Church-New Meredith 69kV l/o 230/138.Milford.AT20 constraint that incorrectly impacted LMPs. The updated Real-Time LMP csv file, labeled “20160923_updated.csv”, is now available.

PJM has reposted real-time LMPs for April 15th, 16th and 17th, 2016. The new files are titled “20160415_updated.csv”, “20160416_updated.csv”, and “20160417_updated.csv”. Specifically, PJM corrected an issue related to sub-optimal bus replacements for the following buses. The posting of the original file has been maintained as well.
