Daily Real-Time LMP

 

The 'summary.txt' file below contains hourly aggregate real-time locational marginal pricing (LMP) for the last 7 days.

The 'Date.csv' files contain hourly LMPs in Eastern Prevailing Time (EPT), for all PJM bus locations, including aggregates.

Load-weighted average transmission zone and residual aggregate prices are estimates only. Transmission zone prices and residual aggregate prices used in PJM accounting are not final until five PJM business days after the end of the month.

Monthly real-time and day-ahead LMPs are used for monthly billing.

Archived Notices

Pursuant to section 1.10.8 (e) of Attachment K of the PJM Tariff and Schedule 1 of the Operating Agreement, PJM is providing notice that there was an issue with the posted Real-Time LMPs in hour-ending 9 on September 23rd, 2016. Specifically, PJM identified an issue with calculation of distribution factors for the Church-New Meredith 69kV l/o 230/138.Milford.AT20 constraint that incorrectly impacted LMPs. The updated Real-Time LMP csv file, labeled “20160923_updated.csv”, is now available.

PJM has reposted real-time LMPs for April 15th, 16th and 17th, 2016. The new files are titled “20160415_updated.csv”, “20160416_updated.csv”, and “20160417_updated.csv”. Specifically, PJM corrected an issue related to sub-optimal bus replacements for the following buses. The posting of the original file has been maintained as well.

Pursuant to section 1.10.8 (e) of Attachment K of the PJM Tariff and Schedule 1 of the Operating Agreement, PJM is providing notice that Real-Time LMPs for hour ending 24 on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 will be reposted.

Specifically, PJM identified a discrepancy with the logging of an offer capped unit for a portion hour ending 24 that resulted in incorrect prices for that hour only. The corrected prices are now reposted.

Additionally, PJM has corrected an issue with the Real-Time LMP posting file for Wednesday, November 11, 2015 that impacted the bus listed below for all 24 hours. The original file was removed from the website and has been reposted.

PJM has reposted real-time LMPs for September 29, 2015. The new file is titled “20150929_updated.csv”. Specifically, PJM corrected an issue related to sub-optimal bus replacements for the following buses. The posting of the original file has been maintained as well.

PJM has reposted Real-Time LMPs for August 31st and September 1st, 2015. The new files are titled “20150901_updated.csv” and “20150831_updated.csv”, in addition to maintaining the postings of the original files. Specifically, PJM identified the IMO Interface LMP was posted and settled using the static interface definition instead of the dynamically calculated real time factors. This has been occurring since June 1st 2015. However due to the provisions regarding price reposting as detailed in section 1.10.8 (e) of Attachment K of the PJM Tariff and Schedule 1 of the Operating Agreement, PJM will not be reposting Real-Time LMPs prior to August 31st 2015. The IMO Interface (Pnodeid 31252687) was the only affected pricing node.

PJM has identified an issue with the Real-Time csv files that were originally posted for May 04, 2015. Specifically, PJM identified and issue with the MANSFIEL345 KV LDTR1 pnode. As a result, PJM has corrected this error and posted updated real-time CSV files for this day, titled ‘20150504_updated.csv’ and ‘20150504-rtresidual-updated.csv’, in addition to maintaining the posting of the original files.

PJM has identified an issue with the Real-Time csv files that were originally posted for April 27, 2015. Specifically, PJM identified an issue with the Breed-Wheatland 345 l/o Jefferson-Rockport 765 kV flowgate improperly binding on April 27.  As a result, PJM has corrected this error and posted updated real-time CSV files for this day, titled ‘20150427_updated.csv’ and ‘20150427-rtresidual-updated.csv’, in addition to maintaining the posting of the original files.

As of posting date August 1, 2008, the daily real-time LMP CSV file may change slightly due to process changes required by the implementation of the new Market Settlement system. The only change would be the order in which the pricing nodes are listed in the file. This should cause little or no issue to end user because the pricing node ID uniquely marks the record no matter where the record exists in the file. Please be advised that the format of the daily real-time LMP file will change effective for the market date of November 1, 2013 (file to be posted on Monday November 04, 2013). The ‘RTO Marginal Benefits Factor’ row in the Ancillary Service MCP Data section of the file will be changed to ‘RTO Mileage Ratio’ in accordance with the FERC’s October 2, 2013 orderPDF accepting the replacement of the Marginal Benefits Factor with the Mileage Ratio multiplier in the calculation of the performance component of regulation market credits. The new RTO Mileage Ratio value has a data type of NUMBER (9,6). A sample file illustrating the file format is posted below for informational purposes.

PJM has identified an Ancillary Service Market Clearing Price posting error for August 5, 2014.  The posting error occurred for the Regulation Clearing Prices only, in hour(s) ending 12-24.  Pursuant to section 1.10.8 (e) of Attachment K-Appendix of the PJM Tariff and Schedule 1 of the Operating Agreement, PJM is providing notice of this issue. As a result, PJM has corrected this error and posted an updated real-time CSV file for August 5, 2014 titled “20140805_updated.csv” in addition to maintaining the posting of the original file. 

Residual Metered Load LMP Posting NoticeZIP

The June 1, 2015 date has an updated CSV files due to the omission of the “AEPOHIO W.O. MON POWER” aggregate in the originally posted file. No prices in the original postings have changed. The updated file contains the initially posted LMPs in addition to the omitted aggregate. The new file is titled 20150601_updated.csv, in addition to maintaining the posting of the original file.

PJM has reposted real-time LMPs for January 13th, January 14th, January 15th and January 16th of 2017. The new files are titled “20170113_updated.csv”, “20170114_updated.csv”, “20170115_updated.csv”, and “20170116_updated.csv”. Specifically, PJM corrected an issue related to marginal loss calculation for the listed below pnodes. Posting of the original files have been maintained as well:
