Enabling ActiveX for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0
- Click Tools then Internet Options.
- Click Security.
- Click Internet.
- Click Custom Level.
- Scroll to the ActiveX controls and plug-ins and verify that the options are set to Enable or Prompt.
- Scroll to the Scripting Section and verify that Active Scripting is set to Enable or Prompt.
NOTE: Clicking a checked box removes the checkmark and disables the feature.
If you see checkmarks in the Enable or Prompt boxes, do not click on the checked boxes.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
Enabling ActiveX for Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0
- Click Tools then Internet Options.
- Click Security.
- Click Trusted Sites.
- Click Sites.
- In the 'Add this website to the zone' field enter http://www.pjm.com
- Uncheck the 'Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone' box
- Click Add
- Click Close
- Click Custom Level.
- Scroll to Active X controls and plug-ins.
- Click Enable next to Download signed ActiveX controls.
- Click Enable next to Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins.
- Click Enable next to Script ActiveX controls not marked safe for scripting.
- Click OK to close the Security Settings window.
- Click OK to close the Trusted Sites window.
- Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
Enabling ActiveX for Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0
- Click Tools then Internet Options.
- Click Security.
- Click Trusted Sites.
- Click Sites.
- In the 'Add this website to the zone' field enter http://www.pjm.com
- Uncheck the 'Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone' box
- Click Add
- Click Close
- Click Custom Level.
- Scroll to Active X controls and plug-ins.
- Click Enable next to Download signed ActiveX controls.
- Click Enable next to Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting.
- Click Enable next to Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins.
- Click Enable next to Script ActiveX controls not marked safe for scripting.
- Click OK to close the Security Settings window.
- Click OK to close the Trusted Sites window.
- Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
