This course is targeted to the ATSI Integration into PJM and is part of the 5-day LSE program designed for the integration. The Load Serving Entity (LSE) program is intended to provide native electric load suppliers or deregulated third-party suppliers the information necessary to conduct business in PJM. This program is offered as a five-part, week-long series.
This LSE 203 course will define how external transactions are used by market participants and examine the various software applications necessary for reserving, purchasing, and tracking transmission service for an external transaction. Transaction materials for this course will emphasize establishing Point-to-Point transmission service and its differentiation from Network Integration Transmission Service.
This course will also present the necessary information for acquiring and trading Auction Revenue Rights (ARRs) and Financial Transmission Rights (FTRs). These financial instruments - providing hedging to transmission congestion charges - are important resources granted to LSEs within PJM. |
