ATSI Integration LSE 205

This course is targeted to the ATSI Integration into PJM and is part of the 5-day LSE program designed for the integration. The Load Serving Entity (LSE) program is intended to provide native electric load suppliers or deregulated third-party suppliers the information necessary to conduct business in PJM. This program is offered as a five-part, week-long series.

This LSE 205 course will describe the capacity construct in PJM titled the Reliability Pricing Model (RPM). All LSEs in PJM will have an obligation share toward the amount of capacity procured for a given delivery year. This course will explain the process for procuring capacity and will define the charges (and credits) associated with serving load in PJM for capacity.

This LSE 205 course will also describe the Demand Side Response (DSR) opportunities in the PJM wholesale markets for LSEs. In addition, this session will cover the requirements placed on LSEs when DSR participants reduce load during high system prices or PJM emergencies.
