Serving as president and chief executive officer since 2008, Mr. Boston oversees the largest power grid in North America and the largest electricity market in the world. Mr. Boston also is president of the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies, Inc., and immediate past president of the GO 15, the association of the world’s largest power grid operators.

Mr. Boston was recently elected to the National Academy of Engineering, one of the highest professional honors accorded an engineer.  He is a member of the Board for the Electric Power Research Institute.

Mr. Boston is past chair of the North American Transmission Forum, dedicated to excellence in performance and sharing industry best practices. He also was one of the eight industry experts selected to direct the North American Reliability Corporation investigation of the August 2003 Northeast/Midwest blackout.

Prior to joining PJM, Mr. Boston was the executive vice president of the Tennessee Valley Authority, the nation’s largest public power provider. In his 35 years at TVA, Mr. Boston directed divisions in transmission and power operations, pricing, contracts and electric system reliability.

Ms. Daugherty is responsible for effective planning and systems of accounting, financial control, treasury functions of cash management, insurance, corporate investments, taxes, procurement of services and goods as well as the successful completion of SSAE 16 audits.

Ms. Daugherty has responsibility for financial reporting to regulatory entities, the PJM Board of Managers and PJM’s members. Ms. Daugherty is a co-executive sponsor of the Women’s Employee Resource Group at PJM.

Ms. Daugherty is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Previously, Ms. Daugherty has been PJM’s liaison to the president, controller and manager of the Business Planning & Analysis Department.

 


Vincent P. Duane

Mr. Duane is responsible for the legal function as well as the Regulatory Oversight and Compliance Committee at PJM Interconnection and serves as counsel and secretary to the independent PJM Board of Managers.

Mr. Duane represents PJM before federal and state regulatory entities, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Committee. He oversees corporate compliance with PJM's Code of Conduct as well as legal support for transactional, financial and commercial business at PJM. Mr. Duane is a co-executive sponsor of the African Diaspora Employee Resource Group.

Mr. Duane is a member of the American Corporate Counsel Association, the Energy Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.

Mr. Duane has more than 20 years experience in the electric power industry, in both private and in-house practice. He was previously vice president and general counsel for the North American and Caribbean businesses at Mirant Corp.

Mr. Kormos is responsible for all services that touch reliability, including system operations, system planning, information and technology services, security and regional coordination. In his role, Mr. Kormos oversees the reliable operation and coordination of PJM bulk power system through load estimating, scheduling monitoring and the developing as well as supporting the technological infrastructure to support the organization. Since 2011, Mr. Kormos has held the position of executive sponsor for the PJM Diversity and Inclusion Council.

Mr. Kormos sits on the Board of Directors for the ReliabilityFirst Corporation, the Executive Committee of the Eastern Interconnection Planning Collaborative and the Industry Leaders Council for the Consortium for Electric Reliability Technology Solutions.

Previously, Mr. Kormos was the vice president of System Operations and has served in various management and engineering positions in the Operations Division.

Mr. Ott is responsible for market development, market operations, emerging markets (new technology and thought leadership), state and regulatory affairs as well as all touch points with the stakeholder or member experience. He also is a board member of PJM Technologies and PJM Environmental Information Services.

Mr. Ott serves on the board of directors of the Wholesale Electricity Quadrant of the North American Energy Standards Board. He is the U.S. representative and working group chair for the CIGRE (International Council on Large Electric Systems) C5 Study Committee on Electricity Markets and Regulation. Mr. Ott also serves as a board member for the Association of Power Exchanges (APEx).

Prior to joining PJM, Mr. Ott worked for 13 years in transmission planning and operations at General Public Utilities.

Ms. Swimm has responsibility for all corporate business support services. In her role, Ms. Swimm oversees business planning, campus/facilities oversight and enhancements, client services (help desk), corporate communications and human resources. Ms. Swimm oversees social responsibility for the organization and serves as co-executive sponsor of the Women’s Employee Resource Group at PJM.

Having joined PJM in May 2001, Ms. Swimm was responsible for PJM’s information services activities, including creation of information architecture and infrastructure, as well as development of new Internet-based applications as PJM markets expand.

Prior to joining PJM, she held management positions in Information Technology at General Electric Aerospace where she supported the Manufacturing and Finance divisions for Space Craft Operations.

Frederick S. “Stu” Bresler is responsible for all activities related to market operations including Capacity Market Operations, Day-ahead and Real-Time Market Operations, Ancillary Service Market Operations, and the Financial Transmission Rights Markets. Mr. Bresler is also responsible for the development, integration and support of the technical systems utilized in the operation of the various PJM electricity markets.

Mr. Bresler is chair of the Board of PJM Settlements, Inc., and also sits on the Board of PJM Technologies, Inc., both PJM subsidiaries.

An employee of PJM since 1994, Mr. Bresler previously held other leadership and management positions within the Markets Division, as well as engineering positions in the Operations Division. Mr. Bresler is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Foster is responsible for providing leadership to PJM’s state regulatory and legislative activities, as well as managing member relationships through focused customer support, the hotline and training. Ms. Foster also is on the Board of PJM Settlements, Inc., a non-profit corporation that provides billing payment and settlements functions, acts as a counterparty to market transactions, and provides credit management and other market settlements related services.

Ms. Foster is on the Alumni Society Board of the Dickinson School of Law. She is admitted to the Bar of Pennsylvania and is a member of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Energy Bar Association. She also is a program planner for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Power Law Conference. 

 


Craig Glazer

Mr. Glazer coordinates all of PJM’s regulatory and legislative policies before Congress, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commissions, the United States Department of Energy and other federal agencies.

He currently serves on the board of directors of the Northeast Midwest Institute, a bipartisan research arm of the Northeast and Midwest region’s congressional delegations. Prior to coming to PJM, Mr. Glazer served as commissioner and chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Mr. Glazer oversaw Ohio’s move toward deregulation of its telephone, natural gas, transportation and electric industries. He also chaired the state’s Siting Board and served as a member of the governor’s cabinet.

Mr. Glazer frequently testified before Congress and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on development of regional transmission organizations and the needs of the marketplace.

Mr. Herling is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the company’s activities in management of system planning. Mr. Herling is responsible for all activities related to resource adequacy planning, interconnection planning, interregional planning, and the development of the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan.

Prior to joining PJM, Mr. Herling worked for the General Public Utilities Service Corporation in system operations and the American Electric Power Service Corporation in bulk transmission planning. Mr. Herling is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Ohio.

Mr. O’Brien is responsible for all aspects of PJM’s information technology services activities, including integration and application services and infrastructure operations. Additionally, he has provided active leadership for the implementation of the Advanced Control Center program including oversight of creation of a new information and application architecture for PJM’s Energy Management and Market Management Systems.

Mr. O’Brien is an energy professional with more than 25 years of broad experience in all aspects of the electric industry. Previously, Mr. O’Brien was employed by GPU Energy and FirstEnergy and participated in the deregulation activities and energy trading activities within the electric industry.
