This notification will serve as a reminder to all parties that, pursuant to section 230.3.1 of the PJM Tariff, a generating resource that fails to test at the capacity level associated with its accredited Capacity Interconnection Rights (CIRs) for three consecutive summer seasonal verification periods will not maintain that level of CIRs. Therefore, if any generator under your control fails to attain such capacity level for the 2006, 2007 and 2008 summer seasonal verification testing period (June-July-August test period), you will be notified by November 1, 2008 regarding any reduction of CIRs by unit. According to the PJM Manual 21 (at 8), the current deadline for submittal of the summer seasonal verification test results is September 30. Accordingly, the summer seasonal verification test must be performed by August 31 and reported to PJM through eGADS by September 30, 2008. Please be advised that you will be responsible to satisfy any capacity obligations for such unit(s) that have been committed as a Capacity Resource under the PJM Regional Pricing Model Auction (RPM Auction) for the remainder of the 2008/2009 delivery year, as well as any future delivery years. In order to regain any generating resource’s lost CIRs, you will be required to submit an Interconnection Request for each generating resource in accordance with Parts IV and VI of the PJM Tariff. |
