Generation Outages for Seven Days by Type

Data Miner 2 is now live
Visit Data Miner 2 for all available data.  The data will be removed from this page on August 17, 2018.

The files listed below contain the actual and scheduled generation outages for today and the next six days. In addition to providing total outages, the files show subtotals for each of the following outage types: unplanned (forced), maintenance, and planned. In order to provide a perspective on outages that are actually occurring or are scheduled to occur during the operating days, only outages with a status of active or approved are included.

The data is shown in aggregated form for the PJM RTO (all control zones) and also for the PJM Western Region (AP/CE/AEP/DAY/DUQ/ATSI/EKPC control zones) and the “Other Region” (MIDATL/DOM control zones).

Generation outages are highly dynamic in nature, so the files should be considered accurate only as of the exact time of posting and less accurate throughout the day as outages change in terms of magnitude, status, estimated or actual start times, and duration. These files are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon by any party for actual billing values.

As shown in the table below, the files are in CSV (comma separated values) format, they include the date of the current day within the file name, and are accompanied by the timestamp of the file posting. The way to interpret these files is as follows: the actual and scheduled outages for (file date here) and the next six days as of (posting date here). So, for example, a file that is labeled 20150527_fullgenout.csv with a posting date of May 27, 2015, 6:00:03 a.m. should be interpreted as the actual and scheduled generation outages for May 27, 2015, and the next six days which is posted on (and only accurate as of) May 27, 2015, 6:00:03 a.m.
