Surplus Interconnection Service Requests
Surplus Interconnection Service refers to any unneeded portion of the Interconnection Service established in an Interconnection Service Agreement ("ISA") or Generation Interconnection Agreement ("GIA"), such that if the service is used, the total amount of Interconnection Service at the Point of Interconnection ("POI") would remain the same. Surplus Interconnection Service requests can be made by a Project Developer or one of its affiliates whose Generating Facility is already interconnected to the PJM Transmission System or has executed (or requested to file unexecuted) an ISA or GIA, or by an unaffiliated Project Developer. Surplus Interconnection Service is limited to utilizing a Generating Facility’s Surplus Interconnection Service at the POI established in the ISA or GIA. Please see Manual 14H, Section 12 for details.
