Culture and Community at PJM

The LEAD Framework

The LEAD framework is a set of behaviors that everyone can demonstrate to bring culture and community to life in our work together every day. The four elements of LEAD are Listening, Empathy, Allyship and Development. By learning more and practicing these skills and behaviors, we can all benefit from a culture of collaboration, innovation and problem-solving.

Employee Resource Groups

Culture and community building are hallmarks of PJM’s nine employee resource groups (ERGs). ERGs are employee-led groups that offer all PJM employees an opportunity to share connections and build networks. Many events and activities are collaborations among ERGs. Participation in any ERG is open to all employees.

PJM’s ERGs include:

  • African American Networking Group
  • Asian American Employee Resource Group
  • Family Connections Employee Resource Group
  • HOLA Employee Resource Group
  • Lambda - PJM’s LGBTQ+ Group
  • PJM Professional Networking Group
  • VALOR Employee Resource Group
  • VisABILITY Employee Resource Group
  • Women's Empowerment Association

Our ERGs are intended to:

  • Create and strengthen engagement.
  • Promote networking.
  • Connect with communities.
  • Contribute to the success of PJM’s mission.
  • Increase cultural understanding.
  • Develop allyship.
  • Support professional development.
