Interregional Planning PJM participates in collaborative interregional planning activities with its neighbors: Northeast: New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) and ISO New England West: Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) Southeast: Southeastern Regional Transmission Planning (SERTP) and North Carolina Transmission Planning Collaborative (NCTPC) These planning efforts have grown alongside the evolution of broader organized markets and interest at the state and federal level in favor of increased coordination, particularly along interregional seams. Studies examine the impacts of respective regional transmission plans, generation interconnection requests and opportunities for economic efficiency. Coordination with PJM RTEP Process Interregional planning is integrated with PJM’s own Regional Transmission Expansion Planning (RTEP) Process in accordance with the following: Open Access Transmission Tariff WEB | PDF - Schedule 12 Operating Agreement WEB | PDF - Schedule 6 M-14 series of manuals | M14A | M14B | M14C | M14D | M14E | M14F | M14G WEB Stakeholder activities via the PJM Transmission Expansion Advisory Committee (TEAC) NYISO – ISO New England Coordinated Planning The Northeastern ISO/RTO Planning Coordination Protocol governs coordinated planning and stakeholder activities among PJM, the NYISO and ISO New England.
