DER Ride-Through Workshop

Overview

The purpose of the DER Ride-Through Workshop is to kick-start a discussion about the appropriate ride-through and trip settings associated with IEEE 1547-2018. This discussion will be especially important for transmission and distribution engineers, as well as state regulatory commissions.

In-person attendance for this workshop is highly encouraged, as the discussion is intended to be technical and interactive, involving breakout groups to discuss the pros and cons of various settings available in the IEEE standard.

EPRI Training Module 1

Overview of IEEE Std 1547-2018

This training module gives a high-level overview on IEEE Standard for Interconnection and Interoperability of Distributed Energy Resources with Associated Electric Power Systems Interfaces (IEEE Std 1547-2018) for interested parties that are not yet familiar with the new standard. It can serve as a reference point for understanding the scope, limitations, and key revisions of DER interconnection performance and functional capability requirements.

The training is open to the public, but does require signing up for an EPRI account to access.
